    Default IPhone 3GS (AT&T) Brand New

    Noob here, I have a brand new 3GS from AT&T that my kids upgraded me to (used their savings) but I hate the default ring/sms tones and I was told the onlt way to change them is to jailbreak. What is the best method to use and I don't want to have to always connect to my PC if it powers off.

    If you go to Settings -> General -> About, what firmware are you on? It'll be listed as "Version 4.whatever"

    Depends on which version it is.

    You can make them in tiunes as well and there are some websites out there that can help make your own ringtones. Now sms tones your going to have to jailbreak
