    Question Greenpois0n - Restore Question

    Ok, I backed-up my iPhone before JB-ing
    Contacts, apps, blah blah blah

Now that it is JB I launch iTunes and I get "This computer has previously been synced with iPhone or other iOS device"
And i have the option to setup as
"NEW PHONE" or "RESTORE FROM THE BACKUP"

I think I should go with 'new phone' just incase the restore would erase the JB, but i figure I should ask before I have to put all my stuff back on the long way

Knowledgeable people what do you say should I do?

Like I said, previous to doing the JB, I did a backup with iTunes.
Now that the JB is done I open iTunes with iPhone connected it gives me those 2 options.
I have decided to go with NEW just to avoid losing my JB

But if you went with new. Didnt you lose all of your information? What I would suggest is after doing that. just right click your iPhone and hit restore from backup.

no, i backed up my info and just sync'd it back.
a Restore would have overwritten the JB i believe

Restoring erases the jb. Restoring from back up after a restore and jb does not wipe the jb.
