Default poor battery time iPhone 4G 4.2.1 greenp0ison

I just bought a new iPhone 4 and it has iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak using greenp0ison

The battery time is really poor. This morning it was 100% charged and I only checked my voicemail once. The rest of the day the phone was not used.

When I got home it was down to 85%

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

    Thanks

How many hours did it take to go from 100% to 85%? And do you have poor reception wherever you were, if so and the phone has to search for signal the battery will drain.

It took about 6-8 hours, most of it on standby not being used, to drain that far. As far as signal I am not sure, but I know there is a cell tower nearby on campus.

It appears that the battery time was far superior on my iPhone 3G as compared to the iPhone 4 (which is supposed to be the top of the line). Very disappointing

I wouldn't consider a 15% battery drop over 6-8 hours to be poor battery life, but to each his own. You could always restore if you feel that the jb is what caused you to have poor battery life in your opinion.

That is promising news. But why would the battery time on the iPhone 3G be better (fewer features draw less power?)

Is there a way to improve battery time on the iPhone 4?

Its been shown that the iPhone has gotten better battery life every time a new model is released. You could turn off 3G while its only on stanby, you can turn off email push and set it to fetch new email every hour, keep the brightness down.
