ok this is a big one downgrading without shsh

heres the deal, ok so i got bored and was like i wonder if i can do this even tho it cant be done to try and challenge myself

so what i did was started tiny umbrella and ran the tss servers and saved my shsh to make sure i do not have the blobs for 4.1 and i dont and also double checked in cydia to make sure before i did this process and i dont only 4.2.1

so after starting the tss servers i shift+restored to stock ios 4.1 which end resulted in error 1004

then i ran redsn0w 0.9.8 to jailbreak it (tethered i know) then ran it again to boot tethered well that got it to boot and i went to settings>general>about and sure enough it say 4.1 but heres the problem if i lock the phone after about 10 seconds it goes into a dfu loop, and also if i turn it off so i have to rerun redsn0w all over agin(i figured since it was tethered that would be the problem, but even on a tethered jailbreak it still will not go into loop or will not loop if locked for too long...

any ideas on a way to get this to work? and please only reply if you have knolege of this topic, ive been doing this for a while so i got my basics down pat, but it would be so cool to get this to work, but more than likely its impossible, but you never know

Maybe try Greenpois0n after you redsn0w it? It probably only works on 4.2.1

But hey why not give it a go to relieve my curiosity lol.

ok i gave greenpois0n rc6 a try but it booted to the animate then back into the loop, its wierd because i can only get it to boot with redsn0w

Darn. Well im all outta ideas then lol. I knew about the downgrade without SHSHs and the DFU loop, but I don't think any of us have gone past that. Kinda just moved on bc it is still tethered.

idk whats going on, it sucks to bc i was all exited then i locked the phone and left it there and looked at it agin to celebrate and boom it was in loop, lol sucks
