StealthBravo, I've seen in numerous posts that I should keep holding the home down until I see the code start to run........but how long? I've continued holding the home button down for up to 2.5 minutes and still no action. My 3G goes to a blank black screen and greenpois0n times out then says try again. Any other suggestions, tips, or tricks to help out? Thanks in advance.

It doesn't work on iPhone 3G. Just use redsnow for that.

Not that I don't think you shouldn't because 3.1.3 will be faster for iPhone 3G but you can just use redsnow 0.9.6rc8 to jailbreak untethered on 4.2.1.

3.1.3 FTW. i wasn't really satisfied with 4.1. My weak little 3G just isn't capable enough. Maybe I'll switch out my 3G for my wifes 3Gs......she wouldn't notice!!
