I tried doing the Greenp0ison jailbreak yesterday, followed the instructions, Exactly.. but the jailbreak would continue to fail. Sometimes The application would close. I have Leopard 10.6.3. Are their any files that I need in order for it to work? Before I did this I did the redsn0w jailbreak and it would just freeze at the apple logo on reboot, but It worked only after jailbreak. It would function normally, but once i powered it off, it would not boot back up again and just stay at the apple logo. I restored the iPhone many times. And also, does Untethered mean I can reboot the phone without connecting it to the computer? Please Help
It was supposed to only work on Snow Leapord (I'm Pretty sure) but I went looking around and found this link that gave instuctions on how to get it. And your sencond question, yes unteathered means you can reboot it whenever you want. Teathered would be where you need a program on the computer to boot it for you. Let me know how it goes.
My jailbreak with GP on Ipad 4.2.1 worked great, but all my apps that will work on all iDevices get stuck on pages that I can see in Itunes, but not on my Ipad. If I move an icon and re sync, it puts it back on the inaccessible pages, any ideas? Ipad only apps work fine
I'm trying to jailbreak my iPad that is on 4.2.1 with greenpois0n but it would fail~ pretty much the same as the first poster but I don't know what leopard is :S
I got it working!, Greenp0ison came out with the windows version of the jailbreak today and it worked fine. All I did was perform the jailbreak, then after I installed Redsn0w 0.9.6rc8 and it booted untethered! now the only issue I have is unlocking the device. I have baseband 5.15.04 and to unlock I would have to upgrade to 6.15 or something, but its risky and I dont want to do it.
Just tried it and what happens is, when following the directions to put it into DFU mode, it will get to the last instruction and then when it hits 8 or 9 seconds left it goes straight to the jailbreak button, I press it and it pauses for a few seconds then says "Quit and retry"
its either your timing, or you need to make sure you have the right ipsw for your iPhone, or itouch. I dont remember exactly how i did it but I remember that you have to shut the phone off before you start the jailbreak.
computer dual-booted with Win 7 and Snow Leopard
