hey all....I have a iphone 2nd gen.I recently jailbroke it with cydia but for some reason it did not install right.So what i did was restored the iphone on itunes.when it finished restoring I get this message on itunes saying that the sim card does not seem to be supported.tried another sim card and i get the same message.I have also tried to jailbreak it again with limera1n but it will not work either
is my iphone bricked

No, it is not bricked, you have to jailbreak with redsn0w 0.9.4 and browse to stock 3.1.2 firmware. Read this :

You can do this all from Emergency Screen. Check only install Cydia and unlock.

Put your iphone into recovery mode : Turn off your iphone, while holding the Home button, plug your iphone in until itunes cable logo appears. Now you can restore again.

hi ok when i put my iphone into recover mode,itunes opens up and asks me to restore.It does not show or update to the 3.1.2 firmware.It just does the restore thing and when it is done it still says sim card is not supported

Now you are already at 3.1.3, follow the guide from emergency screen i have given you to hactivate, jailbreak and unlock for you.
