    Default Jailbreak without a computer
Hi  is there any way to jailbreak my iphone 3gs without plugging it into a computer?? I crashed my already jailbroken phone by accidentally deleting cydia. I don't own my own computer so I have to use friends'. I restored my phone which forced it to update to the 4.2.1 firmware or whatnot. Is there any hope for me or do I HAVE to use a computer to re-jailbreak my phone??

Nothing FORCED you to update to 4.2.1. With a bit of research, and a few questions, a prior version (and keeping the current BB) were highly likely.

Remember, iTunes is NOT your friend. There were many alternatives. Not so many now

As x98cat said, a computer will most certainly be required. 'Userland' jb's like Spirit (no computer) are rare.

    ^Sorry moon...

After the post I also realized my 'tone' was a bit harsh. Sometimes it gets to me, 'accidentally or had to or my friend did it'. Little patience. But then again, I've done the same thing

Hi! Happy new year! I had an iPhone. I done jailbreak on that. I used a computer to downgrade the firmware. But I could download cydia direct to the iPhone. The problem is , I would need to do it again and I don't remember where can I find the cydia to down load directly to my phone! Can anyone help me? Thanks!

You can google openappmkt and then from that site you can install cydia provided your iPhone is already jailbroken. Good luck.
