Greenpoison and limerain are the same for me, i get stuck at the waiting for dfu screen even when i know i am in dfu. I've only got an old 3g but i ended up having to use redsnow.

i have the same issue with limera1n on iphone 3G v4.1. everything was detected but limera1n stuck at "In DFU mode...wait" with a black screen. i waited and waited. it just stuck there forever. so i reboot iphone 3G and also reboot my PC. try again and it still the same issue.

Either try downloading limera1n again, they do updates sometimes

Try a different computer?

If your stuck in recovery mode go get TinyUmbrella or RecBoot to knock it out, RecBoot almost always works

For iPhone 3G on 4.1 use redsn0w. The latest version should be fine.

i try redownload limera1n still same issue. however i did use redsn0w latest version and it's finally jailbreak. install ultrasn0w and the phone still lock. the iphone 3G v4.1 kept said "searching..." then no service. i reboot the phone and still the same. any idea?
