Is it possible to use this new method of jailbreak (via the jailbreakme.com site) to jailbreak my friend's iPhone 3GS on firmware 3.1? Its just that his laptops in for repairs and don't have access to a PC atm. No one?

I don't know why some people have to be so difficult. Seems like it would be a lot more helpful to just say yes you can use jailbreakme.com BUT only if you update your FW via iTunes first instead of "Nope".
