Iphone 3GS 3.0 can't install any custom ISPW or jailbreak... :(
Hey guys, i'm an experienced JBer, i've done this alot to other phones and ipods but when i try to shift+restore to 3.0 and even 3.1.2 and i get this message,
"the iphone could not be restored. This device isn't eligible for the requested build.
What do you think i should do. I tried redsn0w and it froze...

Because apple is not signing any signatures older than 3.1.3. Therefore u can not restore to anything else, unless u have the SHSH backup up locally or on Sauriks server. However, you should be able to restore to a custom firmware. As the custom firmwares do not require any communication with the apple server.

Not if he has the new bootrom, then he can't restore to a custom firmware.
