A whole heap of problems. HELP!

So,
This has been my life for the last two days, jailbreaking this iphone (AT&T, 3G, 3.1.3, on a mac). The REASON I'm jailbreaking is because my home button is broken, and I needed to get the exit app button. I used blackra1n since my home button was broken and quickpwn wouldn't work. Didn't work at first, so I used iTunes to downgrade to 3.1.2, there was some problem screen that came up after that but I ran blackra1n anyway and huzzah! it worked! unfortunately I now have no service!

My question..
Can I get 3.1.2 on my iphone that will give me cell service so I can use blackra1n, all without a home button? PLEASE?

Really this is stressing me out!

Nobody knows? It seems like there are a variety of solutions to this problem. Can i downgrade to 3.1.2? Can I somehow get my phone to be in DFU mode without using the home button? ??

please help me i have a paper to write and this is distracting me so much i can't focus haha.

try to reset network settings and see if ull get service

Figured it out...

Use Pwnagetool to create a custom 3.1.3 ipsw

use itunes to restore to official 3.1.2

jailbreak with blackra1n

use itunes to install the custom 3.1.3

voila!

Why not just fix home button?
