An idea on how to load custom baseband and firmware
Hi all, I'm Akke!
I got my iPhone 3GS (3.1.2(7D11)) with baseband 05.11.07 and a new bootrom for christmas so I'm pretty new to these things but I have read a lot of stuff about jailbraking and stuff.
So my idea could be pretty crazy but I think it's kinda logical.
Sooo What if AkkeApple would release a new update to the iPhone wich would include the following:
V. 3.3.3(1337)
Baseband 05.13.37
Sooooo the baseband version 05.13.37 would be carrier unlocked, and the firmware would be a modified 3.1.2 or earlyer wich would include Cydia as default. And Itunes would do the restore or up/downgrade for you
That would mean that I wouldn't need to jailbreak using the good but tethered blackra1n...
The AkkeApple server would be located at http://localhost/ and itunes would be told to get the updates form your local machine just by editing the hosts file
Pwnage?
Please respond if you didn't get my point here or if you spotted a problem somewhere!
Thanks, Akke
