sn0wbreez... my iphone isnt jailbroken?!?!

ok... so i havent done anything to my iphone in 2 years or so. i was on 2.2 and jailbroken unlocked the works. i was sick of apps not working for my phone and how laggy it was so i found the post on sn0wbreeze and jailbreaking the new firmware.

long story short... i DLed everything and it was jailbroken but i had no service. i restored it and blabla~ and now i dont think its jailbroken. no more cydia. i have service but i literally LOST everything. my contacts never backed up during the restore nothing that i had on my computer and backed up did what it was supposed to. I dont think my iphone is jailbroken anymore. i have no clue whats going on.

i want to try sn0wbreeze again but im confused as to whether there wa s typo and it shouldve been for 3.1.2 not 313/?!?!

so... my question is... if my phone jailbroken at this point? what happened? why did my backup not backup anything at all?!?! i lost all of my information and contacts. will reconnecting to sn0wbreeze do anything? is my info all lost or is there a way to recover it? i couldnt SSH when the sn0wbreeze worked for a moment.

im just frantic and annoyed right now. i wasnt trying to update to 313 but to 312 or just 3.0 but nothing was working!! i originally used ziphone and my ex used iliberty to fix my phone on 2.2

any info and stuff would be great because googling and trying to search modmyi has come up with nothing!

I assume you have a first generation iPhone? Before you started the restore iTunes should have made a back-up. Assuming this happened after it's done restoring the first thing it asks you to do when you plug it back in is set up as a new profile or restore from a back-up profile (the one you just saved). If you didn't make a back-up then everything is lost forever. As for your jailbreak I would restore to 3.1.2 and then use redsn0w or blackra1n to jailbreak.

i have an iphone 3g... i did create a backup and thought i had done everythingi normally was supposed to do. my information DID backup when it booted up on the 2nd try on sn0wbreeze but it asked to activate my iphone i believe and gave me the box to create a new profile or use my old one. i used my old one with my number and info and after that it restored and i saw the snowflake logo then it went to the normal apple logo and now theres no cydia its all normal completely stock oem.

im wondering if i should give sn0wbreeze another go or do i just keep waiting? i never updated my 2.2 until now and it went from 22 to 313.

will the backup that i made at the very beginning work? because it worked fine ONCE then after that backup restore deal it did all of my info was gone even when i backed up the iphone again when it asked and i chose the original backup file.
