I just upgraded my 3g running 2.2.1 to the iphone software 3.1.2 on itunes & then RE-jailbroke my phone with blackra1n RC3.
I only installed Cydia after jailbreak (not Rock or anything) then uninstalled the blackra1n icon.
I installed SBSsettings and Winterboard since my themes were still on my iphone but they dont show up in Winterboard.
I SSH into my iphone & noticed there are now TWO of almost each folder like "Themes",,,"Ringtones",, "Applications",,,etc...in private/var/stash and other stash folders but they have numbers in name now like "Themes 7dbDz9 and Themes Ebh6y".
One has my previously downloaded themes & the other is like a fresh install version & if I download new items for Winterboard it goes into Fresh install Theme folder.
Can I move all my old themes..apps..ringtones..etc to new the newer folders & just delete previous themes..etc.. folder so there is only ONE instance of each folder & erase number at ends of new folders... Or will this cause trouble?
Any advice??
Im using AT&T also .. So I didnt unlock...nor will I.
Thanx!
Anyone?

back the folders up then remove one at a time reboot and see what happens. If it goes sour put them back in.
Not sure if this is always the case, but I have removed a file before and my iphone was stuck in boot loop. I just used ifunbox. It would still see file structure even though 3gs was stuck in boot loop. I just slapped the file back in and restarted 3gs and it worked fine for me.
Before hand make sure you can use ifunbox and it sees the raw files. If not you have to install afc2add from rock or cydia. Make sure ifunbox works before doing anything.
i purchased an unlocked iPhone 3g and the apn setting do not show up on the phone so I can enter wap or interent2.voicestream. I have T-mobile and they tried to troubleshoot it but could not do it. I need slotuions fast. Thanks
Jayced9, you should just search through the forums first. Most people won't reply to your messages if there are things like "I need results fast". You should be able to get paid support from the person you purchased the iPhone from.
