tried everything to install blackra1n plz help

i have some probs that might be stopping me.

ok im on 3g 3.1.2 emergency calls only, very old laptop with 1 usb 1.1 port hole, no internet when my 3g is in the 1 usb 1.1, and have itunes 8.2 installed.

edit: every single time i get the white usb pic connect to itunes,the screen just stays black after that, no geohot logo pic.

is it still possible for me with those specs?

keep trying it... leave blackra1n open and running and reboot your phone.. hold power and home buttons until u see the apple logo and release just the power button.. there are many methods i have read.. but it took me hours! to finally get it... just takes some patience.. keep rebooting and putting it in DFU mode until it finally takes... I would assume you will see the USB error in the log file that i always did... I cant be sure of the exact sequence that worked so just keep messing around with it..
