An End to your blackra1n 3G jailbreak problem!

For those of you running Vista/7 or XP x64 and are getting the itunes connect screen, here's what you do. I'm pretty technology savvy so I didn't mess around too much. I didn't switch USB ports, move the exe to various folders, reinstall stuff, none of that.

As administrator, I ran the blackra1n .exe normally and it went to the itunes connect screen. Twice.

Here's what I did next. I simply clicked properties and set the compatibility mode for XP (service pack 3). It worked instantly right after. This is exactly what you guys are missing!

yeh that would be helpfull but im on vista and it only gives me option for service pack 2 not 3

It's okay, Denizay... By "this is what you need", he meant "this is what worked for me".

This, however, has proven time and time again to vary between most all end users. Regardless, I'm sure it helped at least one person, which is a notable difference. Good job, Perry.

I dont have the option to run it under compatibility service pack 3. only 2. and 2 doesnt help the issue at all. i had to keep messing with it for a couple of hours each time and im still only at 99% functional. I am having a problem with my contact list. None of my pics will "stick" to my contacts. when I add the pics to people and then close out of contact after clicking done and then reopen contacts, there are no pics. any ideas without restoring again? thanks

are you up and running 100%? I have an issue I am trying to resolve and am asking various people who are actually online so i dont have to wait a million days for an answer. Here is my issue.....my contact list will not save pics no matter what i do. I have already restored a bunch of times and it took a couple of hours of messing with it to get it to work each time. Any suggestions other than restoring again again again....you get the picture? Thanks for any info or guidance you can give me.

About your problem with your contacts pictures, mine is working perfect. I just jailbroke my phone with blackrain, with the procedure that I explained above.
