Jailbreak 3.1 or 3.1.2 w/ Blackra1n Update/Fix Video

This is the Jailbreak for 3.1.2, there have been alot of people having problems getting "Blackra1n" to work but I figured out how to get it to work. You will need 3 things to download(Make sure you have everything that has to do w/ Apple like iTunes in Task Manager closed but keep the Applemobiledevice up.):

It's not a "fix" if it only works on a hand full of iphone's, if that.

Why do people insist on thinking just because it works on there system config/iphone it will work on everyone else's. Like they struck gold on something.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm glad that you got it JB and are trying to help others, but it's not a fix, just another method to try.

This worked for me but not as smoothly as the video. I did not update because I did not want to have to re-jailbreak, but yesterday I decided to go ahead and update. I am on a PC so there is no other jailbreak that I could find. Anyhow, I did everything correctly and it went to the "connect to itunes" again. I changed the compatibility back to the original and then even though the blackrain app was opened, I clicked and opened it again, this did not work so I opened yet another(clicking let it rain each time). And then it worked. Don't know if this will help someone, but thought I would post it. I tried for hours to get my jailbreak back and if I can save someone the time I will. I had to restore my phone 5 times trying this because I could not get it back on any other mode. I now have Cydia back.

ace00 I called fix because I posted this near to when Blackra1n was released and it was when Blackra1n didnt work for everyone when just using Blackra1n to jailbreak didn't work so I found that solution and I didn't specify that it works for everyone but sometimes it takes a few times the way I found to jailbreak, some of the comments I've recieved on Youtube said it has taken 2to 3 times + but they got it to work 85%+ of the people that have left comments on Youtube have said its worked for them.

Bought a new 3GS on Friday. Came with 3.1.0 installed. Been debating on whether to JB or not. I had a first gen iPhone before getting the new 3GS, and had JB that phone.

Anyway, decided to JB, didn't upgrade to 3.1.2 though, still running 3.1.0, followed these directions and the JB went fine. Thanks!

However, there is a problem, maybe someone can help me with. I installed Cydia and only Cydia, wasn't familiar with Rock or Icy. But, when I go to open Cydia, it just crashed and closes. Any clue on how to fix that? I thought maybe it was a bad JB, but after having problems with Cydia thought I would try Rock, and that installed and runs fine. So I dunno, hehe.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Nevermind. I just SSH'd and deleted Cydia. I like Rock better than I did Cydia anyway.
