Help with downgrading 3.1.2 after using blackra1n

Okay, so im using an iphone 2g
I updated my itunes to version 9.

Then i downloaded 3.1.2 updated, and then ran blackra1n.
Before i upgraded i was on 3.0 jailbroken and unlocked.

I then had problems with activation, misread the post about its not capable of hactivation.

So now im stuck on itunes 9 and 3.1.2 and cant use my phone.

I was thinking about downgrading itunes, but to do that i would have to unistall my current itunes and downgrade back to 8.2. Now my question is would i loose my iphone backup if i unistalled itunes?

Or is there any other options available?

Any help would be really appreciated.
