What are the other available options that are free ..Im looking to upgrade a Iphone 3G to 2.2.1 on Vista.

u dont need that. u can unlock it ur own without paying anything just state which fw u have and ppl can help u with the steps as most of us here have 2.2 and 2.2.1 unlocked
