Default DFU mode broken in IPT2G

this is pretty strange to me , i have never had this happen or even heard of it...

i went through the ipt2g jailbreak guide for mac

    i made the pwnage fw
    i patched the fw
i put the ipod into dfu mode and sent the patch files
when i did the final file the iBSS221pwn.dfu it strangely stayed white and that seemed a little strange to me, almost as if it was still tethered jailbroken but i knew it wasnt because i restored it

so i went to restore to the custom fw and it came back with an error 1 so i decided to take the ipod out of dfu mode and try again, this time when i tried to put it into dfu mode it booted everytime i got to 9 seconds... this is obviously not rite

now i restored the ipod and it still doent go into dfu even afteri restored

i dont know what to do honestly... this is completely strange

    anyone with an idea?

im thinking of doing the old carcharger blow up trick and getting a new one

I assume that you would need a warranty in order to exchange the product, correct?
