Unable to Jailbreak with quickpwn, pwnage or ziphone

Just a quick run down of what happened.

Found lint in my iphone so went to the apple store and got a replacement. I was able to jailbreak that one no problem.

Now with the new one, in quickown or pwnage I can get it almost into DFU but when the counter hits 9 on either app, itunes launches and says waiting for ipod and then errors out. Ziphone tries to get it into recovery and then just sits there.

I also tried in Windows XP and same thing. On OSX I have removed itunes and the iphone files according to apple and reinstalled. Did it again but this time with itunes 8.01.

What can be the issue. I am out of ideas other than a bad refurb.

First generation iPhone or iPhone 3G? The iTunes version should be 8.0.2. In OSX make sure you have NOT updated to 10.5.6 or you'll have to apply a patch before DFU will work. What firmware version is the iPhone? Ziphone is only compatible with firmwares 1.1.4 or below so it's obsolete. Make sure you are running the most up to date version of Quickpwn which is 2.2.

hi poseidon...i have a similar problem and maybe you cna help me..

i had some problems with the bluetooth of my garmin nuvi and my old APPLE Iphone 2g connection, so i had to upgrade both (iphone to 2.2.1 firmware i think). but now i can't jailbreak the iphone anymore...i tried with Ziphone and quickpwn, but in both cases the process cant pass through the DFU and remain stuck there (the green loading bar fills one time, but no quickpwn icon appears on my phone)

each time i have to repristinate the iphone in itunes and tried it a lot of times, even with 2 different kind of quickpwn, but nothing...never can pass through that point...

ps: i operate in windows Vista
