How can I fix a errror 1011? on a 8g 1.4 iphone

put the phone in DFU mode and restore again.

DFU mode....phone on..connected to itunes...hold power button and home button down..til the screen goes blank and black...let go of the power button..but continue to hold the home button til itunes recognizes it....then click on restore on itunes and let it runs.

That will not work. error 1011 is a corrupt bootloader and or a corrupt baseband. i have fixed one of thesw errors but i hadto take my iphone apart pm if you need more help just posted quickly

1011 is not a corrupt bootloader or baseband. It means his baseband does not match his firmware. He has probably upgraded and downgraded firmwares, and as downgrading firmware does not downgrade the baseband, they ended up not matching.

Not sure why you took your phone apart!

Anyway, a restore to the latest firmware will sort it out as SD says

I think I have a similar problem where the baseband doesn't match the firmware. I stupidly pressed the home button during bootneuters flashing and I have a phone that will no longer restore. I have tried custom IPSW's, tried different computers, different itunes versions, tried 1.13 etc but I cant restore it. Any advice?
