Help Needed -iPhone wont restore

Please can someone tell me how to restore my iPhone.
I tried to upgrade to 2.01 from 1.1.4 and now my phone wont work at all.

I have tried to restore through itunes (shift and 1.1.4ipsw and 1.1.3, 1.1.2 etc. But all i get is errors.

How can I totally wipe my iphone clean and start from the beginning again?

R U sure your in the right mode? from my readings there are 2 different types of DFU modes. What if any error codes are you getting?

I am kinda in the same boat as you but I was at 2.0, tryed the pwnage thing didnt like it attempted to go back to 2.0 and got error code 1013, I am currently running 2.0.1 on mine but is laggy. Even the 2 genius's I know at the apple store said it was but they could only swap out my iphone for a refurb they were just to busy to look into the problem so I kept mine and if I can get it to go back too 2.0 great.

Then again Apple is releasing a patch to improve reception of the 3G models so its like why bother?

If I received my information correctly 2.0.2 is supposed to fix the reception error, but if you upgrade to 2.0.2 then no more jailbreak, so I am toughing it out until a jailbreak is made for 2.0.2,

Have you tried putting your phone into DFU mode then going into Itunes and using shift click with the 2.0.1 FW?!?(if not then go download it)http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite....8_Restore.ipsw
