Hi, greetings to all.
I think i screwed my iphone.

I was trying to use ibrickz v0.90 to jailbreak and install 3rd party apps. Well, I must have did something wrong and the iphone keeps restarting to scroll lines of words (like in DOS mode) and repeats endlessly.

Not being able to figure out what went wrong, i desperately resorted to the last stance; depressing the power button and home screen button at the same time. It did go into recovery mode(icons of disk and connector with blue background) but after a few second it rebooted and repeated the scroll of words again.

The moment iphone lost its recovery mode and rebooted neither winpwn or iTunes are able to detect iphone.

I am not good with my written English so pls clarifiy with me if I have not made myself clear. below are the screen shots of iTunes and winpwn

Then as soon as phone lost the recovery mode and reboot.

just try to put iphone into dfu mode
Step 1. Turn off your iPhone.

Step 2. Hold Power and Home button, the iPhone should now be boot.

Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but HOLD the home button.

Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you in restore mode.

Also, NTL leave a comments to stated that how to put the iPhone in DFU mode easily. Take it as an alternative method if the above does not work for you.


Step 1. Connect iphone to USB then listen to the sound when it connect and disconnect.

Step 2. Hold 2 buttons until hear disconnect sound then release power button.

Step 3. Wait until hear another sound then release home button.

I have an apple iphone 3g 16gb.
It was originally v2.2.1 and I upgraded it to v3.0 and unlocked as well as jailbreaked it.
After downloading an application from 'installer' the iphone
got hanged.
I turned it off holding the power and the home button.
Since then its unable to boot on apple icon.

Please,help.

^ remove installer app from your phone. Installer app is no longer supported and especially will not work on 3.0
You will have to restore and re-jailbreak your phone.

blkcadi. i am unable to start my iphone, its not workin on recovery mode. itunes is not reading it. how am i suppose to uninstall the installer?
its stuck on the apple icon.
i will uninstall the installer only if it starts.
plz help me out.

try puting it in DFU mode by:

rebooting you computer.hope it gets fixed!!
