Jailbreakme.com Local copy

Hello, I'm been very bugged by everytime I need to unlock an iPhone to go to the internet and open jailbreakme.com.. so i wanted it locally. first it will make things faster. second, it will allow me to add my files and mods to be installed automatically with the payload.

so i copied jailbreakme.com/files/y.tiff and opened it and saw that it is downloading /files/payload2.bin so i downloaded that too.

opened payload2.bin and noticed that it requests 2 more files: root.zip and youtube.zip

perfect.. i have created my own webserver.. put the files in it.. and modified the tiff file to point to my ip instead of jailbreakme.com but didnt work.. it just tries to open the tiff but safari doesnt close and nothing gets downloaded..

So I thought it might be because this tiff must maintain its crc.. so i created a dns zone on my dns server and pointed jailbreakme.com to my ip instead of the website.. now whenever i open jailbreakme.com on the phone, it will open my server. i made sure that all paths are the same and everything is the same as jailbreakme.com website.. but its trying to open the tiff and stays there.. safari doesnt close and it doesnt call the payload2.bin at all (checked the apache logs)..

now what the hell is wrong.. why it is only working on the real jailbreakme.com website while my replica doesnt work? is it an apache problem? or must I be missing something here?

thanks.

I'm was trying to do the same thing as you when I found your post. I'll try and see. If I can do anything I'll post it here. I found something that might be the reason:
Try running strings on the tiff file, you'll see this string:
Quote:
Host: jailbreakme.com
Maybe that's some kind of checking.

Could you send me the files/a link please

I have a first gen ipod touch which has a broken home button. I want the iHome app which will act as my virtual home button but to get it i need to jailbreak. It isn't jailbroken and quickpwn won't work. I'm thinking of downgrading to 1.1.1 and using jailbreak me but they've stopped jailbreaking and i can't acess the files . Can you help me please.

Yeah, if there's a problem with QuickPwn then it's probably with your computer.
