Yes. Edge works great on Rogers.
Go to: Settings, General, Network, EDGE
You will be good to go.

Have Fido- I disabled it for the time being. I bet when it does gt released in Canada we'll see better edge rates... Well, here's hoping anyways. They say that freedom isn't free, but these days it's become the most damn expensive thing in the world.

Just curious, has anyone with ATT tried the 1.1.1 turn off edge roaming in the Toronto area? I am just curious if it works at all (no data charge incurred) since International roaming is not needed for ATT phone to work in toronto (I know, you still pay the charge but no need to turn on voice roaming).

I use Fido and tried it briefly, just to see if it works. I'm afraid of the costs, so I'll be sticking with WiFi until I see a new plan for data.

I use it everyday on Fido. Back when Fido was an independent company and thought nobody will ever use data, they used to have a $50 unlimited data plan North America wide. I have it and now its proving to be very beneficial.
I setup another guy on Rogers a few weeks ago. Works fine.

I'm on rogers, and there's no info in my EDGE settings, which is fine for me, since I'm usually in wifi areas.
Unless rogers gets a good data plan for cheap (not likely), I wont be an EDGE user.

I had mine removed and just use my home (or free) wi-fi till Robbers/Fido come up with better (aka USA) data plans.
