Data Questions

I want to be able to not use my Data on my phone. I do not have a data package with my carrier therefore I dont want to have it so it uses it if my chance someone uses my phone or im not connected to wifi and I load a webpage or check my mail.

I tried removing the Edge setting inside the network but it still loads websites and such. I also still see the Edge icon on the top menu. Why does it still work even though I removed the APN.

Quick fix for this would be to go to your installer.app and download the services.app. This app has a feature to turn off the EDGE network. You will still see the EDGE icon on the status bar, but it does turn EDGE off.
