Default Help! Abysmal data speeds and battery life on iPhone 4S Sprint!

    Hi everyone,

I recently switched to Sprint for the 4S, due to its unlimited data plan.

Currently getting anywhere from 50-1400ms ping, 0.01-0.68 mbps download, 0.01-0.27 mbps upload.

Anyone else getting these kinds of speeds? I reside in Brooklyn NY 11220.

Anybody having any luck fixing their speeds?

I'm also getting terrible battery life. Day 1 I had 4h 37m standby time before the phone died out. Day 2 I disabled almost everything (time zone update disabled) and got 10h 32m standby. Day 3 I decided to restore the phone and give it a fresh slate to work with. Got 7h 43m standby. I'm running out of ideas, can anyone help?

I could t even get it to finish the upload phase, it just hung there while the other people on non-Sprint iPhones were surfing the internet while laughing at me. Grrrr...

I have the same issues, new to iPhone but not new to Sprint. Their network blows, it's embarrassing at times when someone is waiting for you to look something up on the web and it just hangs forever!

I'm still having battery problems but the speeds have picked up slightly, I'm averaging about 0.2 mbps now. It's still not acceptable but Sprint has agreed to send me an airave unit for free. It's supposed to be some signal booster. Hopefully it works and brings my speeds up to a more acceptable rate. I'd hate to have to deal with the ETF and the return policy and stuff..
