jailbreaking and unlocking

I believe I was on the wrong forum. I want to use H2O. this is what I wrote earlier and received a response. I was trying to jailbreak on att and then unlock, but I think I figured out I don't need to unlock. Can anyone help me with my problem? Any guide would also be helpful.

I read in another post if at & t is already the carrier in the usa, I will not need to unlock the iphone because H2O is using their network. Is this true?

Yes!! its the only carrier beside At&t the will activate an iPhone through iTunes.

All u have to do is insert your H20 sim card!!! NO need for ultra snow etc. if u wanna unlock your iPhone to work with (T-mobile, Simple mobile) then u will have to change your baseband from 5.16 to 6.15 baseband (IPad baseband) via redsnow.
