unlocked iphone 4 for metro pcs with data plan?

i honestly know nothing about this whole unlocked iphone thingy
so please somebody be patient with me and explain this to me..
i use metro pcs as a carrier and i'm trying to purchase an unlocked iphone 4
and flash it? so i heard as long as i do that i could use unlimited texting and talking
but apparently using data plan is not available yet? so i could only use wifi with it?
i mean whats the point of paying so much money for an iphone then..
somebody please tell me for unlocked iphone 4 if its possible to have all unlimited text, talk and internet on metro pcs.

If you can flash it I'm pretty sure you will be able to text and talk unlimited also you can use your wifi

From my understanding, Metro PCS uses both AT&T and Verizon, depending on your phone. If you get a SIM card for your iPhone then it should work in your iPhone no problem. I don't know if you'll be able to get a CDMA iPhone to work though.
