Data plan options in northern europe?

I'm going to be traveling for a few weeks in Northern Europe (specifically Denmark, Norway, Iceland, and Ireland) and wondering what my options would be for data service while there. For phone serviice I'll be buying a pre-paid sim card for each country I'm in but are there pre-paid data plans avail as well?

I spoke to a TMo service rep and she said other than WiFi, I dont have any other options other than paying $15 per MB of data. My primary need would be for emails.

Tried searching here and but couldn't find a conclusive answer.

...oh, and if it matters, I'm on a 3gs phone running 3.1.3
