3G. 4.2.1 and h2o -- sim card won't work

Ok here is the short version -- I have a 3G iOS 4.2.1 jail broke it with redsn0w 9.6 but I mess up the carrier plist so I did another restore and jailbreak and now my sim card won't work. The cust service at h2o is horrid -- they reactivated the sim but it still says no service. Any suggestions??

Are you 100% sure the SIM is active? Have you tried the SIM in other phones? If so and it does work in other phones, then you'll need to restore your phone and try again. If the SIM doesn't work in other phones, then you'll need to contact h2o for a replacement SIM or buy a new one.

Also, make sure you're using a US or unlocked iPhone. Only a US iPhone will work with a Locus/o2/h2o unlimited SIM without unlock.

Finally, you might turn off 3G and see if that helps. Sometimes you might get little to no signal on 3G while you'll get decent or full signal on 2G, depending on the location.

How exactly did you mess up the carrier plist? Couldn't you just do a custom restore?
