Vodafone UK - 3G not working

Hi

I have an unlocked iPhone 3GS, which works with my PAY AND GO Vodafone SIM fine.

I am having trouble connecting to 3G, I have tried all the settings available on the internet, but nothing works?

Do I need to have a data plan attached to my SIM or does it need to be activated for 3G use?

Everyone is having this problem not just yourself, ive complained so many times got £50 knocked off my bill and there sending me a replacement 3gs and i know the fault is in vodafone and not the phone so when i get another 3gs ill complain untill there so bored of me complaining and i WILL get the 4g.
