I picked up a 3G iPhone from my friend in America. I have unlocked the phone for use with 02 but they tell me, in order to get an iPhone tariff I will need to activate my sim in my iPhone. Obviously this is all quite new to me since I've had my iPhone a month and never seen an activation screen when I put my Sim Card in. Are there any other things I could do. I would be grateful for your suggestions, data charges on my contract are expensive
If you go with the 'Simplicity for smart phones' plan which is sim only, you pay £20 a month for 600 mins and unlimited texts + internet. The same iPhone tariff would set you back £40/month and you're tied up for 2 years.
I don't think you'll need to 'activate' anything if you go this route so you should be sorted.
Edit: Whoops! Didn't notice the date was in American format. Don't know how useful this is now.
