Need HELP! iPhone 3G 16 Gb jailbroken But accepts only one carrier

I hav an iPhone 3G 16 Gb jailbroken ( jailbroken to firmware 3.1(7C144) with Cydia and Icy installed )... But accepts only one carrier... im unable to use any other carrier SIM other than Vodafone india ( after jailbreaking the first carrier SIM tat i had inserted was that of Vodafone India)... if i insert any other carrier sim of India like Airtel or Aircel or Idea i get a msg as SIM Failure.. wat do i do to be able to use other carrier SIMs ? plz Help .. Thank U

you need to unlock you're iphone, jailbroken doesnt mean that he is unlock, search within the forum or google to know how to unlock

I found the solution by myself...

Solution :
Open Cydia & go to manage ... there u find the "Sources" tab... open the sources and tap the edit button (present at right top corner of the screen)... then u will find the "add' button towards the left top corner of the screen... after u press the add tab u will find a window with heading "add source to cydia. now plz type blackra1n.com [ plz make a note of the spelling ... therz 1(numeric one) in place of i in the spelling blackra1n ] and it shall add... u will b prompted "return to cydia" then u should go to the search tab in cydia , which is to the right bottom corner of the screen... there search for "blacksn0w"[ plz make a note of the spelling ... therz 0(numeric zero) in place of o in the spelling blacksn0w ]... press it and u shall find install button to the right top screen, press install ...

wait till it installs...

And ur iphone is now unlocked !!!

works fine with jailbroken iPhone 3g with firmware 3.1 (7C144) and baseband 05.11.07 even with bootloader 5.09( a relief for those whose bootloader is 5.09 and for whom "Fuzzyband" doesn't work" )

other option is to install blackra1n onto your computer, and let your computer detect the phone, then make it ra1n! worked for me 11 times so far. I have windows, NOT MAC. I don't dislike mac, but when the apple IIe was the king, i was a programming fool! then came that bill gates guy...
