tmobile web2go vs android?

Both the $10 web2go and Android internet plans work in the iPhone. Is there a difference in speed? Because the Android plan possibly offers 3g although it wouldnt work, and the web2go is for non smartphones so probably would not offer 3g. So in conclusion, they both work on edge. So there should not be a speed difference right?

My room mate and I were on the same plan, I had T-Zones, he had Android (he bought the android to trade it for an iPhone)

My edge was about 50kb/s FASTER than his. We both used the same APN and had the same reception, along with the same phones.

I have web2go now (signed that contract to my roomate) and its the same as T-Zones

I have BOTH the android AND iphone. downloading from wifi is faster on the G1 then it is on the iphone. As far as internet via edge, iphone every time. that is in Germany
