Just wanted to ask a question about jailbreaking your iphone, so if you go to the O2 store in the UK on Nov 9th and purchase the iphone for £269 and then come home and then jailbreak the phone, just so you dont have to activate the phone through itunes, and then could you use your normal O2 simcard? As you would be using your O2 simcard that came with your current O2 contract, would you need to unlock the phone, or could you use the iphone then with your current contract O2 sim inside?Mark

If you buy it from O2 directly, you can activate it there.

yeah but if they activate it in the shop you have to sign up to the contract dont you? there and then? however i dont think they will do this in the shops as they wont be able to keep up with the people cos of the amount of time it take for them to go through the contract with you, My O2 shop wont know whats hit them, theres only bout 2 people in there at any one time, bet they craping it already, lolMark

Does O2 do phone service without a contract? If you just want prepaid, you can ask them for that as well.
