is tethering free on rogers?

k im going on vacation to BC today for 2 weeks and i wanna bring my macbook and tether so i can have internet on it if i need it.

im pretty sure i read on Rogers's website that tethering will be free until december 31st 2009 if you have a data plan

so can anyone confirm that it's free??

I have 6GB data BTW

I hope it isn't until end of 2009. That would be a seriously stupid move. But yes, tethering uses your 6 GB plan. I called Rogers about it.

I don't know if you will be hit with roaming though if you are out of Calgary. Like when you use your phone out of your calling area, even on Rogers.

No we dont have data roaming in major cell areas in Canada. I use tethering in Toronto constantly and have a 604 (BC) phone. Should work just fine xwinger! Welcome to the 40 degree weather!
