MMS on unlocked american iphone 3g

Hello all,
i have i phone which i originally bought in the US, i have move to italy and use the 3 carrier. I would like to know how do i get MMS on my phone with the 3.0 software, when i go to messages the option to turn on and off MMS is not there. Is this because it recognizes the phone as an AT&T phone... is there anything i can dowload off of cydia?

You have to download the ipcc file for your carrier.
On your phone browse to help.benm.at/it.php
Select your carrier
Select Install

This is what I did on my phone for my country so hopefully it will work for you too

If you can't find the correct IPCC and know the Settings you need, you can use Notepad++ to modify any IPCC to your settings.

i've had no luck with going to the website, i still don t get the option for MMS, i have a mac so i can't and dont really want to start messing around with the IPCC!

Is the phone unlocked? You can't expect to use the iPhone on your carrier without an italy sim card. Your iPhone needs to be unlocked to accept the italian sim card. Then you need an MMS plan. Once you have that, you need to install the correct IPCC and carrier settings for your phone.
