Okay so here it is,
-I bought an iPhone 3G from Telstra (Australian Provider) Outright
-I am using a pre-paid sim
-I have never used Telstra's internet (i have only used wifi), as Telstra's data charges are ridiculous.

Telstra have just released Browser Packs which are descent value.
Yet i would only want to use the Telstra Internet for certain things so i stay under the limit, So if possibly, i would like to be able to,

-Have a way to manually activate and de-activate the cellular data so i can use it when im please.
Can i do this?^^^

SBSettings from Cydia allows you to turn Edge and 3G on and off. I turned off Edge because I don't have a data plan and it's worked fine for me.

so with your current plan, if you have edge on and went on the net (without wifi), you would be charged yeah?

but by turning it off you cant access the internet through your service provider?
