I have an iPhone 3G 2.2.1 baseband 2.28 running West Central Wireless SIM. I can't use any GPS app without manually setting my phone to ATT for the carrier. If the carrier is ATT the GPS signal will kick on right away but if it is using West Central Wireless it will never pick up GPS signal. The 2 apps that I am trying are XGPS (from cydia) and Motion X GPS (from app store)

All that the maps app gives me is the triangulation circle

yes - I can get gps to work only if I set up my carrier to use att but if I switch back to West Central Wireless it will not pick up GPS signal
