International Assist on unlocked iPhones

I recently got my iPhone unlocked to use vodafone UK.

I tried going to Settings > Phone in order to turn international assist on for when I make a call to the US, but this option is no longer there.

I was wondering if others have noticed that too or if something might be wrong. Its rather a hassle to have to lookup the number from my contacts, memorize it, then go to the dial pad and re-enter it with the international code.

Also, if anyone has a smaller vodafone carrier logo please let me know.

I have no international assist as well on my unlocked 1.1.1 phone.

Has anyone responded with an answer yet? I too have lost international assist ! Maybe I'd like to have it back...lol
