Since the blackberry storm came out my wife has been talking about upgrading her phone to get 1. They have a buy 1 get 1 free deal going on with the storm also. I had thought about using the sim from the extra storm, but actually selling the phone to get money to put towards a 3g iphone. The only thing is that i dont know if a Verizon sim would work. Has any one tried 1? I only see Tmobile and oversea companies unlocked on the youtube videos. My only reason for wanting to unlock is b/c att 3g doesnt cover the area where i live but verizon 3g does. Is it possible or just a wishful thought?

verizon doesnt use sim cards sims are for gsm

verizon is cdma .. the storm is able to take a sim card though which is why you are probobly confused

cool beans.... thanks for that info. i guess im stuck with my 2g network and 2g iphone with no need to upgrade to a 3g. Man i wanted that turn by turn navigation though (w/o adding an adapter)... oh well

The storm does, in fact, have a verizon sim card in it. That being said, it doesn;t really matter because verizon STILL is a cdma network. Having the Verizon simcard in the phone will make no difference... you don;t have the antenna in the iPhone to connect to their network.
