Default HSPA speed test for Rogers network

Request for anyone using an iPhone 3G on Rogers network in a HSPA coverage area to do a speed test and post your results indicating which city or town you did your speed test. Prior to Rogers announcing their recent upgrade for HSPA from 3.2 Mbps to 7.2 Mbps I was averaging around 2.3 Mbps download in Vancouver. Though after their HSPA network upgrade I'm now lucky if I get 1.6 Mbps download during off-peak periods.

I pull a steady 1.5mbps, but I'm in the Okanagan. I'm not certain if this falls into the HSPA coverage you speak of.

Does it show "3G" or "E" next to the carrier Rogers in the top left screen? I ran a test tonight at the Vancouver International Airport and I'm getting just under 800 Kbps download on 3G (HSPA).

    1.5mbps?

    Definately 3G

But yeah, 3g symbol, not E.

The speed slowdown must have had to do with the holiday season (increase of internet traffic) as I'm now averaging 2.2 Mbps. Though it's no where near Rogers advertised 7.2 Mbps in a major HSPA coverage area.

I just realized, I don't think the 3g is capable of those speeds, only the 3gs can do 7.2mbps.
