Unlock Instructions for Optus (AU)

Recently purchased a phone that was supposed to be "Officially Unlocked" by Apple. To my suprize, it's "REGIONALLY LOCKED" for OPTUS in Australia according Apple. I was not supposed to have any issues whatsoever "UPDATING" the phone. I DO NOT have a SIM for OPTUS. How do I get this to work. I even bought a 3G GEVEY UNLOCK SIM, T-Mobile is my service provider and it will not work. Thanks, Jay

Maybe you can unlock/jailbreak your phone
And when you wanna complain about it you can always restore to factory settings.
I believe pawnage will do the trick.
