Well Here is the problem... I have been using the iPhone in India for about 10 months now. After upgrading to 2.x+ software I get intermittent GPRS. I am using mobile office with my phone. With 1.1.x the edge worked perfectly, after upgrading to 2.x, I am sometimes unable to connect to installer or cydia or safari will state couldnt activate edge. Sometimes it works perfectly. I am sick of paying 499 to have a SLOW intermittent connection. I have done the carrier.plist trick, changed the APN to airtelgprs.com. Same settings I have been using for the past 10 months but only after upgrading to 2.x I am running into this issue. Shall I switch to Vodafone? P.S I travel a lot from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and all over its intermittent connection. Has airtel caught up to us with mobile office and iphones?

hi friend just log in to cydia and instal APN manul input or just upgrade to 2.1 and update carrier settings with itunes

I have the APN Manual input setup by editing the carrier.plist (stated above). I am thinking this is a carrier issue Because I have seen demo iPhone's at the Airtel location which have the same issue. My only question is, has anyone experienced intermittent edge connection after upgrading to 2.x?

Ahhh screw it. Just went and got Voda. Working great. MUCH FASTER compaired to Airtel.
