suncom and edge service

I have suncom service and my ifone works fine, but I do not have internet access except through wifi. Is there any way I can get my data services to work? I have been using a blackberry pearl and have all access on it. I contacted Apple and of course they say the only way is to get at&t service and I don't want to do that. Thanks

To get internet access on SunCom you have to go to settings>general>network>edge
and write on:

APN: mobileinternet
USER: empty
PASS: empty

thanks..I am on vacation. I will try it when I get back. Is it really that easy? I spoke to someone at suncom and apple and both said it was next to impossible. I am new to the ifone so I did not bring it with me. I just got it yesterday. Any other things I should do to it? I am running 1.1.3 firmware I think.

They not gonna tell you because they dont have the iPhone, and they dont want to give support to another phone that dont belongs to them, it happens to me too, i am with suncom but do what i did and it will work youll see.

make sure you get the $5.00 mobile internet plan on your plan, or your bill will be pretty high

I was with SunCom and month ago with the unlimited national internet for $20 a month using an iPhone. They said I couldn't renew my plan and said I was using too much data usage on partner network. They can no longer provide service for me. So I left with no early termination fee and went to AT&T and got to new 3G iPhone. I was happy because they did me a favor!
