Does Fido block IMAP ??

Hello Community,

i can't seem to get GMail working on my 3G iPhone although GMail and Apple have support docs on their websites. This leads me to believe Fido is blocking something on their end.

Anyone successfully map GMail to their iPhone under a Fido data contract?

Or any other IMAP account?

im using gmail IMAP with Rogers and it's fine.
i couldnt imagine fido would block it. no reason to.

are you sure all the settings are correct? is IMAP enabled under your gmail settings etc?

definitely. i had our network admin take a look as well and he's not sure why it's not working. it worked for a short time a few days ago, now....SSL problem.

I'm using IMAP on gmail with Fido on my 3G, and it works perfect. Did you try restoring your phone? I know it shouldn't really matter... but there seems to be a lot of bugs with this initial firmware release on the 3G.

I restored my phone and tried configuring GMail again and it worked.
