Don't know how my iphone was unlocked in the first place

I picked my unlocked iphone on a business trip in central america. Using it on Rogers network. No idea how it was unlocked! I'd like to upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 but don't know where to start. Ideas?

Virginize the baseband and upgrade to 1.1.1, then unlock again.

How?

1) Go here - http://iphone.unlock.no/

Scroll down to the heading - How to "Virginize" an unlocked phone before update to 1.1.1

Follow those instructions - Make sure you have 1.0.2 and the correct Baseband

2) Scroll to the heading - Bypass activation and prepare phone for software installation

Follow instructions

3) Scroll to the heading - Unlock the SIM-lock

Follow instructions. And you're done .
